Green Giants

At World Stage Design in Cardiff, Wales, The Willow Theatre was built in the courtyard of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama as a venue for productions and speakers from around the world. This venue was conceived and designed by myself and my collaborator, architect Tim Lai, in response to a call for proposals for a temporary theatre employing sustainable materials and methods. Our design was selected from over 100 entries from 26 countries by an international panel of judges.

In their series on sustainable practices in theatre entitled Green Giants, Live Design interviewed me about my work on this project and about my use of agricultural fleece and other unique and sustainable materials in my design work. The interview was published in their series in 2017.
